Doug works in IT leadership for the government of Cortland County, NY, where he helps supervise the teams supporting 450 staff serving 45,000 constituents. He serves on several boards including as Chair of the Audit Committee for Visions Federal Credit Union and as a member of the Regional Advisory Board for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. Doug has extensive experience in the public sector, having previously served a decade as CIO at two additional upstate New York county governments. In between his county government service, Doug led a multi-year enterprise transformation initiative as CITO at a large mental health non-profit in Rochester, NY and early in his career he worked in IT consulting, leading several technical teams and founding and selling an IT consulting business. Doug is active in numerous community events and organizations, including helping launch the LUMA Projection Arts Festival in Binghamton, NY - the largest projection mapping art festival in the USA. Doug holds a degree in Computer Science from Binghamton University and degrees in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from SUNY Broome. He maintains the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) cybersecurity leadership certification, and is a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) certified Board Director, in addition to several technical certifications. He was appointed to the AC for a one-year term to fill the vacancy of Robert Seastom’s seat in 2023 and elected to a three year term in 2023. His current term expires 31 December 2026.
