Internet2's Director of Routing Integrity, Steven Wallace, presents two powerful tools designed to make RPKI adoption more accessible for network operators. The RPKI-ROA Planner (https://roa-planner.internet2.edu/) simplifies the process of planning Route Origin Authorizations (ROAs), helping operators reduce misconfiguration risks and strengthen their routing security posture. Complementing this, the RPKI-ROA Visualizer (https://roa-planner.internet2.edu/roa-visualizer) provides an intuitive, visual representation of how RPKI Route Origin Validation (ROV) functions within BGP — making complex validation logic easier to understand and apply. Developed through a collaboration between CAIDA.org and Internet2, with support from the National Science Foundation, these tools represent a meaningful step forward in the practical deployment of routing security at scale. Attendees will leave with exposure to both tools and actionable insights for improving their own RPKI implementation.
