Nancy is an accomplished executive, a mentor, and a consultant. She was formerly the Vice President, Legal and Corporate Governance of CANARIE Inc., a key partner in Canada’s National Research and Education Network. Prior to her VP role, she served as CANARIE’s Chief Financial Officer for 15 years. Her broad experience includes corporate finance, legal, governance, risk management, and compliance. She led several global projects and was a key contributor to many others. She has a passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI); at CANARIE, she entrenched CANARIE’s EDI goals by linking them to business outcomes.
Nancy was appointed to the Board of Ontario Genomics in 2022. She has served on the CIRA Nomination Committee, since 2018, acting as Chair since 2020. In addition, she has participated on the Steering Committee for the Canadian Internet Governance Forum since 2018. Nancy was elected to the ARIN Board of Trustees in 2017 and reelected in 2020 and 2023. She has served as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee since 2018. Her current term expires 31 December 2026.
